About Taunya
Taunya Foerster has been in the fitness industry for over 30 years.
She has an extensive and diverse background in various modalities of fitness and exercise. Taunya has been a masters pilates instructor for 25 years and has gained length experience not only instructing but certifying other apprentice instructors, enhancing her ability to teach others and break down complex movements into digestible pieces. Further, throughout her time as a pilates instructor she has taught a diverse array of clientele ranging from those with neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s, those recovering from surgeries with significant limitations, to those at the most advanced level of physical fitness. She is also certified in Pilates for Golf and is equipped to tailor each pilates exercise to meet the limitations and abilities of athletes looking for relief from sport injuries as well as those looking to advance their athletic abilities through supplementary pilates exercises. In her time in the fitness and wellness realm Taunya has acquired a plethora of certifications and trainings including:

I am a dedicated Pilates instructor helping clients achieve their fitness goals. In my 60's, I believe that age is just a number, and I'm passionate about promoting a healthy and active lifestyle for people of all ages.
As a proud mother of six and grandmother of seven, I've cultivated a deep understanding of the importance of balance, strength, and flexibility—both in fitness and in life. My journey into Pilates began as a way to maintain my own health and well-being, and it has since transformed into an opportunity to share my passion with others.
I specialize in personalized Pilates sessions, tailoring my approach to fit the unique needs of each client. Whether you're a beginner looking to improve your core strength or an experienced practitioner aiming to deepen your practice, I am here to support you on your journey.

My journey into the world of Pilates began as a simple exercise routine, but it quickly blossomed into a passion that transformed my life in ways I never imagined.
I believe that true health is achieved through a harmonious blend of physical fitness, nutritious eating, and mental well-being. Pilates has been my cornerstone for building core strength, enhancing flexibility, improving balance, and cultivating a deep mind-body connection. It played a pivotal role in my postpartum recovery, helping me regain strength and confidence. My goal is to share the incredible benefits of Pilates with my clients, guiding them to nurture both body and mind in the pursuit of their best selves.

Hello, I’m Sophie!
I started pilates as a way to transition back into exercise after a long period of being inactive. I very quickly fell in love with this special form of movement and decided to pursue my pilates instructor certification. My background in classical ballet training provided me with the flexibility and strength to advance my pilates practice and highlighted to me the importance of developing additional mobility when performing exercises to protect the body. Further, it gave me the tools of cuing and mind body connection that are critical in both performing exercises and instructing.
Pilates gave me the confidence, strength, and mobility to cultivate my abilities in multiple other areas of fitness and supported my overall personal growth. I am passionate about providing such benefits to all students at the studio and catering to each client’s level, limitations, and goals. Pilates is a diverse, challenging, but incredibly welcoming form of movement for every single person. I truly believe pilates to be far more than an exercise but rather a cornerstone to one’s overall health and well being. Furthermore, our studio fosters an air of community, inclusivity, and special attention rooted in knowledge from classical New York pilates principles that is unique.
